"Send an Email (V2)" failing to detect distribution groups

There is a major bug that was introduced in V2 version of the Office 365 "Send an Email" - it fails to detect distribution groups (mail-enabled security groups are not affected which is probably the bug went to Prod undetected):

This was not a case in V1.

Please fix ASAP.

Hi @Kona ,

You can try to click "Switch to Advanced mode" so that you can configure any email address in To.

Re: "Send an Email (V2)" failing to detect distribution groups

Hi @Kona ,

I did a test on my side, and when the Mail-enabled security mailbox is filled in the To field, everything is normal. Flow can be saved or run normally.

As far as I know, filling any type of email address in the To field can be as long as it conforms to the email address specification, even if it is an invalid address.

Please take a try again.

@v-bacao-msft Mail-enabled security mailboxes work just fine but distribution groups - don't.

Not true in case of V2, try entering an Outlook or a Gmail address in the field.

You can enter the address but you won't be able to save the flow because it won't pass the flow checker.

Re: "Send an Email (V2)" failing to detect distribution groups

Hi @Kona ,

Maybe this new feature is not yet deployed in your region.

But before this feature appeared, I could also fill in any type of email address in the To field. Although the flow checker will prompt an error, we can save the flow successfully after multiple attempts.
