Common Data Service Analytics - Usage

Hi,

Looking for something like below:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/analytics-common-data-service

Really, I want to perform usage analytics on CDS. I need to display all users who have logged in, similar to the metrics they have available in Power BI. EG, sername, last login, # logins for ALL users. Is this possible? From the looks of it I can only see aggregated metrics in the above example. I see they have an API, but couldn't find that there either.

Thank you!

Hi @Anonymous,

I have researched your request but I think there is no certain available API for the Power Platform Admin Center side.

I only found the following connector from Power Automate side but this is more like check status of CDS instances.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/powerplatformforadmins/

Please raise an Idea on the following site: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Ideas/idb-p/PowerAppsIdeas

Have a good day!

Hi

The Auditing functionality of CDS can give you login access information. It may not be quite what you want but worth a look

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/common-data-service/auditing-overview

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/common-data-service/audit-user-access

To expand on the previous posts, there is not currently a way to get to the raw data used by CDS analytics. The alternative source of data could be auditing; you can enable auditing of user access (in addition to audit of data changes), then extract this by querying the audit entity in CDS
