Delete all records in an CDS entity

Hi,

I have imported about 400K rows in an entity during my testing - but now I want to delete them all.

How can I do that ?

Hi @donsvensen_flow ,

Do you want to bulk-delete all records from your CDS Entity?

Regarding the needs that you mentioned, I think a Bulk Delete Job could achieve your needs. On your side, please go to Power Admin Center, then switch to Environments option, find your current Environment. Then click "Settings" option-> expand the "Data management" option:

then click the "Bulk deletion" option. Within the opening 'Bulk deletion' panel, click "New" button to create a new bulk-delete job:

then you do not need to specify any criteria within the "Filter" panel, just click "Next" button. Then complete the job configuration based on the Wizard Guide. You could specify a Schedule for your Bulk-Delete job, then this job would executed at that specific time.

Wow, this is so complex and long winded just to perform a DELETE FROM <<tblName>> WHERE xxx

Surely working with data in Dataverse cannot be this long winded so does anyone know of better solutions to perform basic CRUD operations whilst setting things up, other than building screens in canvas or pages in portal or admin tools?

You can edit the table direct on Excel. Delete all rows there and publish it to  Dataverse.

I agree with this. T-SQL equivalent CRUD commands are needed.  I don't see why SSMS has to be just read-only.
