Displaying the last Date as a calculated column

I'm still getting to grips with Dataverse and its nuances.

I need to create a summary table which in SQL I would probably achieve via a view.

I have 2 Tables

Contractors

and

Insurance certificates

There is a Many to one relationship between the Insurance Certificate Table and the Contractors table.

A Contractor record may have many insurance certificates that have been uploaded over time. I am trying to create a calculated column in the contractor table or a summary view or table which has the most recent date it finds in the Insurance certificate table for each contractor.

I have tried using a view without success as there doesn't seem to be a function to pull back the earliest date for a record. Tried calculated columns again without success.

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Hi @andycreigh,

Utilize a rollup field vs a calculated field to accomplish what you are trying to do.  See this article as an example:  https://www.qgate.co.uk/knowledge/using-a-rollup-field-to-add-last-activity-date-to-a-case/

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
