Enable change tracking does not work for "Sharepoint Documents" table

Hi!

I want to trigger an app when a document is uploaded to Sharepoint through my model-driven app.

I have set up the document management for my environment, but I cannot enable change tracking for the table called "Sharepoint Documents", so the flow is not triggered.

I am able to check the "Enable change tracking" box in the table settings, but when I save the table that setting is not saved. There are no error messages of any kind, it just doesn't seem to stick. I have tried borth in the modern and legacy apps, and neither works, so does anybody have any idea of what the issue might be.

I can trigger the flow using the "Documents locations" table, but that would only work when a new folder is created on the Sharepoint site, right?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @LoGoBro42 ,

Could you please share some screenshots of your flow?

Hi @v-jefferni ,

Sure! This is my trigger:

I realise that it doesn't technically require the "Enable change tracking" to be checked, but it still does not trigger the flow.
The following action is a simple compose, mainly to have an action.

I've also checked the trigger settings and there are no trigger conditions set:

Lastly, this is the check box that I cannot get to save:

I would really appreciate any ideas, you might have.

Hi @LoGoBro42 ,

As you would like to trigger the flow, why not directly use the trigger of sharepoint library "When a file is created in a folder"?

Speaking of SharePoint Document management, please refer to below doc:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/enable-sharepoint-document-management-specific...

So please make sure the table is bonding with the proper library folder.

Hope this helps.

Hi @v-jefferni ,

I thought about that too, but I need the context info from Dataverse in order to update the metadata columns in the SharePoint library. Basically, I want the flow to pull the account the document belongs to, and I don't know how to query back into dataverse to get the correct information.

Do you have any idea on that?
