Error message box

In a model driven app, is it possible to display error messages to the end-user in a message box if the validation fails?

Yes it is definitely possible and can be done in many ways

  1. Business rule - If you need to validate something and show an error message on a specific field
    1. Create a business rule on that entity
    2. Add a condition
    3. Show error message based on the above condition
  2. Real-Time Workflow –
    1. Go to Solution--> Processes
    2. Create a real-time workflow on that entity
    3. Add a check condition
    4. Stop Workflow with canceled --> Click on properties and enter your custom message in there
  3. Web Resource - Custom logic using JavaScript
  4. Plugin
