Generating Report from Modeldriven app

Hi,

I am trying to create a form where user should enter the details. The system should allow the user to extend the due-date further and history of edits need to be maintained. Need a provision to set notification interval (monthly, quarterly, yearly). Main focus is the reporting:

1- Need to generate a report  for all departments on one report when a time period is selected.

2- Need to generate report for a specific department also based on time period selection(30 days report, one week report, a specific date range etc.)

Hi @Teresa24486,

Reports in model-driven apps are normally built leveraging SSRS with FetchXML unless the report is simple and can be done with the report wizard.  In general I think the report wizard is pretty limiting but worth taking a look at first.

SSRS Article (FetchXML with Power Apps)

Report Wizard

Outside of reports, one of the best tools to get analytics out of Power Apps is Power BI where you can create reports with many slicers, security, etc.  This is my first approach for reporting.  You can expose Power BI reports in your Power App as well.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Drew

Hi @Teresa24486,

Just wondering if you were able to generate your reports finally? I would try to go with out of the box dashboards and views/charts if possible. If not then revert to Power BI as SSRS and Report Wizard are slowly getting phased out...

Cheers
