Get Data from excel for a table formats the date as US

I have tried the solutionsThe issue starts here:

In Power Apps > Tables > MyTable > Get Data > Excel > Browse in One Drive > Select File > Open > Next > Select Tab

The column (in excel formatted as date dd/mm/yyyy) is now formatted mm/dd/yyyy.

I have checked the following regional settings are all set to English (Australia)

  • Operating System
  • Device (PC)
  • Browser
  • Power Platform Environment
  • OneDrive
  • Dynamics 365 (Personal)
  • Dynamics 365 (System)
  • Power Apps
  • My 365 Account Regional Format
  • Excel For Web (OneDrive)

I can use a workaround by using text but I would really rather not! I have tried the 'split by delimiter then merge then reformat but same issue so I'm stuck! 😞

Anybody got any ideas?!

I got a response from logging a ticket and the issue found and resolved, yay!

The issue was in the browser. Either:

  1. Using the wrong Edge profile (with different language settings)
  2. (More likely) The language settings for Edge that I thought were OK (See above) were not OK. 'English' is not 'English (Australia)'

These language settings for Edge resolved the issue (for me in Australia):

Hi @mclarke ,

I made a test with changing my regional formats into English(Australia) in:

Power Apps settings:

Power Platform admin center:

Excel:

When import data within Data Flow, the format of retrieved dates is correct:

Please check if all above reginal formats have been changed properly on your end. In addition, please use Google Chrome browser to implement this process.

Hope this helps.

My PC:

That's why I'm tearing my hair out (I'm already bald!).

Any other ideas?!

Hi @mclarke, You have done everything I would have suggested. Your best bet is to lodge a Microsoft Support ticket at: https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/support to get more details or to advised if it's by design.

Keep up posted, cheers

Thanks Eric, I've lodged a ticket as you suggested. Cheers.
