Is it possible to trigger a flow from OnRecordSelect event in the editable view?

Hello all,

I want to trigger a flow on selection of record in the view.

I have gone through some blogs and found that I can use when a record is selected trigger.

But I don't see that trigger in my power automate. I dont see CDS connectors. I have Microsoft Dataverse connector and it doesn't have this trigger.

And I want to know if I can trigger a flow using OnRecordSelect event in editable grid?

I have only able to add webresources to the event in view properties.

Thank you...

@Amruthavarshini

CDS is a legacy connector.

I would recommend to create a custom two option field, values be like selected and not-selected. On selection from grid, using javascript get the context of the record and update the field and save the record.

Have your flow gets triggered on update of the field.

If it answers your question, kindly give kudo and accept it as solution.

Regards,

Prakash

Hello @Amruthavarshini,

Create a button in Ribbon Workbench then make an Enable rule on selection of record in Model Driven apps.

Then create a Microsoft flow with HTTPS request take the URL.

Then in onclick of button make a http request from model driven apps to Microsoft Flow by passing ids with comma separated to the flow

Then recive the same and split the ids and process it.

If you want more clarity then let me know I will update a video in my channel and let you know the same soon.

Please mark as Answer if it is helpful and provide Kudos
