Is there a way to use a lookup to retrieve not only text data?

Hi,

Please, help me with the following:

There are 2 tables: Risk Table and Plan Table.

Risk Table has Risk Name (text data type) column and Risk Level column (I am struggling to come up with a solution for this column because basically it must be either text in red, yellow and green colours or an icon in the same set of colours).

and then....

Plan Table must let a user to choose Risk Name (as a lookup to Risk table), while Risk Level appears based on their connection in a Risk Table. How can it be done?

Thank you a lot in advance!

Hi @ArisTale ,

Please see below article to show custom icon dynamically based on field value.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/customize/display-custom...

Also, to auto populate Risk level from Risk table in Plan table you can use javascript CRM.webapi client api.

Thank,

Bipin

Hi Bipin,

I am not familiar with Javascript. Can you elaborate on "javascript CRM.webapi client api", please?!

Regards,

Alexandra
