Limit Permissions to ''Mark Complete'' a task

Hi,

I am using the Appointments Table and need to restrict user to Mark Complete a task assigned to the user(with less privilege) while the Initiator should be able to close/complete the request. I believe we dont have a security permission to restrict it. If I have to use XRM toolbox for the same, what command would work best to achieve this?

Hi @Teresa24486,

You can use the Ribbon Workbench to create an enable or visible rule on the Mark Complete button with an entity privilege rule to control it based on security privileges. The information from the two guides below should give you what you need.

hi,

Yes that worked.

-What if I have two user levels which isnt global(highest privilege) and read(least privilege) but has edit rights to certain fields on the form. How can I define display rules for custom security role?

- Also I cannot perform the same action(show/hide as per security role) for Canceled, Completed, Show Chart buttons using xrm toolbox on the Appointment table.
