Local Option Set Error when Field Name is the Same Across Entities

I've been working with CDS for a little while and have run into an issue that seems to only exist in the CDS Manager and not when using the Classic Dynamics Solution Manager. I want to have a consistent set of fields across a few entities that I've created in the CDS, one of which is a Workflow State field that we will be using for some internal process designation. This Option Set isn't going to be reuseable (safely) between different entities because the Process is going to differ from entity to entity, so I opted to use a Local Option Set. Here is how the first one looks that was created in the PowerApps CDS Manager :

You can see the Local OptionSet Name is cr0c1_workflowstate and during creation, once I I select Local option, set I don't have the ability to modify it. Now I go create another entity and add a WorkflowState field with another Local Option set:

When I attempt to Save the Entity I get the error above. It's using the field name to create the local option set name, which has already been created, but on a different Entity. In an attempt to see if this was an issue in both the standard CDS Manager and the Classic View CDS manager I performed the same field creation and local option set attachment there with a different result :

And the resulting Local Option Set when I browse back to the CDS:

As you can see above, the name generated on the Local Option Set from the Classic Viewer is cr0c1_{EntityName}_cr0c1_workflowstate and no error was generated during save because the option set name is unique. Is this a bug in the CDS Manager? We can use the Classic Solution Manager for adding these fields, but this seems to be the only case I have found so far that requires it.

Hi @ihilder,

Currently, I could not reproduce your issue on my side. When I create a Option Set type column in my CDS Entity, there is no Global option set and Local option set option listed:13.JPG

If you want to get further help in your issue, please take a try to submit an assisted support ticket through the following link:

If you click on the '+ New Option Set' from the Option Set picklist when adding a column and then the 'View More...' button from the subsequent view you should have all of the options I showed above.  See my screenshots (attached).
