Make a option set for every option in a option set

Hello everyone

I'm trying to make an option set of every option set item. For example:

i have an option set option1 option2 and option 3.

Is it possible to make of option1 another option set option 1_1 option1_2 option1_3?

So when you select option1, you only get the items that are linked to that option.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @jorenchristiaen,

This is not possible with option set (choice) fields.  This is something you can definitely do with Lookups though.  I would create two tables, first table could be for your values represented in option set 1 and the 2nd table can be the values represented in option set 2 with another foreign key lookup field on that table being the lookup to table 1.  You can then add to the form with a dependent lookup and it will filter the values in table 2 to only show the values related to table 1 value selected.

An article written that reflects this concept here:   https://www.sikich.com/insight/how-to-create-dynamics-crm-ce-dependent-lookups/

Hope this helps.  Please accept if answers your question or like if helps in some way.

Thanks,
