More Controls and Access to more entities

Hello,

I would suggest model-driven apps is enriched with more controls, it will not march the canvas, but it is by far behind, so I would suggest adding more controls to model-driven.

Note in any serious model-driven, integration with Canvas as a web part is not an option as the rendering is a whole different, plus the interface makes - I have to say - inconsistent.

I also suggest more access to restricted entities such as Post, Order, Case, etc, and their controls - and it is then up to the user to use/develop or not. but it is totally unfair that they are kept hidden from citizen developers time it is claimed citizen developers are the wide targeting of PowerApps/Dataverse..

Hi @Yahya,

Thanks for the feedback, suggest to provide that feedback at: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Ideas/idb-p/PowerAppsIdeas

For the Post (activity feeds) the idea is already submitted: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Ideas/Make-Activity-Feeds-available-with-out-of-the-b...

For Case, Order, etc, that is more specific to "Sales" and "Customer Service" apps which you would need to install given you have the right license. So it makes sense to me that it's not part of core Dataverse.

BTW: I've been using model-driven apps for almost a decade and it's been fine...of course not all functionality is there as opposed to completely custom but I also managed to implement a solid solution.

As for embedded canvas app, I've been using those as well, and it's pretty seamless for the end-users. You can have the same look and feel as model-driven and tie in to the model-driven events: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/model-driven-apps/embedded-canvas-app-properties-ac...

Cheers!
