Hi, all
I got 2 questions about the "Share record" function on model-driven apps, the new modern UI of which was recently released.
1) Sharing a record with certain users and re-opening the share-pane again to modify the share setting, it says "Unable to retrieve links shared with users." So, I can't change or remove the set permission. Does anyone know the cause or the measure to take?
I used a user with System Administrator role, and checked the same issue happens on any of Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Firefox.
2) I would like the "Share record" setting to be inherited from a parent record to child records. So, I made the setting for the relationships, choosing "Parental" and "Cascade All." But no sharing is inherited. If someone knows the cause, it'd be a great help for me.
Both of the two issues had not occurred when I used classic previous UI.
I assume I possibly could make them work without any problems if I used classic UI. Is it possible to switch back the modern UI to classic manually like we can do on views and forms?

Hi @HiroakiSasaki ,
I Shared a contact record with two users (different capabilities for each user) and I then brought back up the Share Window and it showed both and I as able to make changes required.
I am on the following version:
Server version: 9.2.21103.00140
Client version: 1.4.3503-2110.3
Can you verify the version you are on and maybe you need to open a case to get updated if prior, could be a bug.
On #2, I shared the Account record with a user (Dan Jump) in my test environment and then looked at the Contact and in the UI for the user I shared from it does not show that as Shared with Dan Jump in the Share window but when I login as Dan Jump, I can see that the record is shared with Dan based on a "related" record that was shared (i.e. the Account). The Account has the top checkbox checked because it was shared directly.
Thanks,
Drew
I opened a case for this issue and got a response from Microsoft support.
It says they have recognized this issue and fixed.
But it is taking time to release the modified version to my region (Japan, for your information).
They say it will be reflected in Jun. 2021.

@dpoggemann , thank you for your information.
My version is:
Server version: 9.2.21111.00141
Client version: 1.4.3507-2111.1
So, they seem later ones than yours.
On #2, just as you mentioned, I switched accounts, checked if the shared record is actually visible with the given privilege, and I found it successfully shared. Thank you.
For Check Access, my records shows the status as expected.
But still thanks to #1 issue, I can't modify or remove the sharing...
Hi @HiroakiSasaki ,
Only things I can think of here:
1. Clear your cache and try again
2. Try another computer to verify it is an environment issue.
If neither of these address then open a case with Microsoft.
Thanks,
Drew
Thank you for your advises.
This seems an environmental issue, and doesn't change after clearing cache.
It seems I should open a case. Thanks anyway!

Hi,
We opened a case as well.
For the Europe region (crm4) a fix will has been scheduled for deployment in the weekly update from 14th – 17th January 2022.
In the mean time as a work around, you can start typing the user name in the search box just like when you add a new user. When you then select that user from the search box, it shows you the assigned permissions.
@TrutzStephani
Thank you for giving a work around. It helped us.
The fixed version has also been deployed for Japan region.
