Patch to dataverse image field silent error if image content is url

Hi,

I succesfully patch images to an image field of a dataverse table when the image is from an image component where the image is loaded from a file/camera (i do this to have a thumbnail version of the image in a gallery).

When I have an image component where the image property is set to an url it wil not work. If I patch to a new record, no new record is created. If I look in errors om the file there is noting there..

How come?

Hi @HansHeintz ,

There is a way to achieve your needs.

1\ Create a hyperlink column in sharepoint library.

2\ Add an image to this column. (The image's URL comes from the library's image. )

In other words, you must first save an image file in the SP library, then get its URL, and save the URL in your hyperlink column.

3\ Add a label control and get the value of this column.

Copy this text.

Now , If you have a '4.jpg' image file in your library .You could use '4.jpg' instead of '6.png'.

Then you could use patch function to add records.

Hi @HansHeintz ,

I did a test for you. But I did not reproduce your problem.

The reason for this problem may be that you use a URL with authentication.

For example: If your URL comes from an Image in the sharepoint library, you will not be able to create the record.

But the formula will not report an error.

The picture is from a sharepoint url like you say. I guess there is no workaround?
