Per app licensing

Hi all,

I've a question about the per app licensing.

I'm create an inspecting/ order app for a customer in Dataverse.

I'm planning to create two apps:

1 canvas app (With Dataverse) for all field workers, so they can easy add new inspection reports.

1 Model Driven App for all office workers that use the inspection reports from the field workers.

My question is:

Is a per app license per user covering my needs? I read that since the first of October licensing is changing from the use rights of 2 apps to the use rights of 1 app.

I need to be sure that the license is set to the correct app for each user.

Hi @dennisb88 ,

The licensing is based on the number of apps for each user that they are utilizing.  Based on the information you identified above you are covered.  Note, you could have built 20 apps with each user using any combination of 2 of these apps and still be covered.

Microsoft is changing pricing in the fall but if you only have 1 app being utilized by the user this will actually save you money because it is $5 vs. $10 for the one app and if they need two you can add a second and it will be a wash at the $10.
