Power Apps Portal Contact Record of the Portal User not getting updated

Hello Community,

 

I have created a Dynamics 365 free trial environment, and also set up the Customer Self-Service Portal to connect to it. I am doing everything out of the box. However, when I try to register a portal user, the system will not update the portal user's contact record when I provide the first name and last name on the profile form on the portal. It will remain blank. I have not introduced any new forms or any logics to the system - I am just setting this up and trying to register a new user on the portal. I have always been able to perform the update of the portal user contact on the profile form successfully before, so it's really odd why it's not doing that this time... This has never happened before.

 

Is this a recent platform bug or issue? 

 

Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi @adedapo ,

 

Yes, I have already logged a support ticket with Microsoft, and Microsoft has confirmed that this is a new bug introduced to the platform from a recent portal updates. Microsoft will be working on the fix to be included in a next updated release, but there is no ETA yet at this moment...
