Regarding Field - Edit Data in Excel Issue

Have a PowerApp that is built off of CDS entities and am using the "Regarding" field in tasks to lookup up different standard and custom entities (e.g. Customer Account; Project Name).  Via the Power App UI, a user can relate a task to a Customer Account OR Project Name using this "Regarding" field. When attempting to upload a significant amount of tasks via the excel upload functionality, an error message states:  "A row created in data set tasks was not published. Error message: 'Project Name' =[ID Number] Does Not Exist'"

Does the "Regarding" upload only allow values from the most recent established relationship? Is there any way to allow the regarding field to reference values for other entities?

Hi @scip_aepe

It shouldn't matter what record type you are setting in the regarding field as long as the text you are putting into the Regarding column of your input file matches the value in Primary Field of the record you are setting as Regarding.  As as long as the Primary Field value is unique throughout all of the records types that could be set as Regarding.

In your instance, it looks like you are trying to set the Regarding using an ID Number in the import file rather than the Project Name?  Make sure you are trying to match Regarding on the Primary Field value of either your Customer Account or Project Name entities.
