Unable to Add Barcodes to Dataverse Table

I created a table on my dataverse and am looking to fill it from a spreadsheet that has all of my information. One of those columns are barcode numbers.

I opened the newly created table in excel and entered a row to test it. When trying to publish I receive the error   Cannot convert the literal '886111645091' to the expected type 'Edm.Int32'.

Looking at the column types I only see whole number, floating number, and autogenerate. I don't see how else I can change the data type. How does one get around this?

Hi @Mr_Manager ,

Is there a reason you are not entering this as a Text field in Dataverse?  I would utilize a text field to store the barcode value as this number can be very large.

Hope this helps. Please accept if answers your question or Like if helps in any way.
Thanks,
Drew

Looks like that worked!

No real reason why it wasn't text, I figured I would just have it set as number. Thank you!
