Upload Error

I was tring to follow the guidance of Option 1 to upload an excle file to Account Entity:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/common-data-service/data-platform-import-export

And it enconuntered an error message that I could not understand.

Could I aske for some help about how to handle upload errors?

Hi @Titiwai,

Would it be possible to get a sample of your import file? Thanks

The error message references the masterid field - this is used when records are merged, and it links the subordinate record to the master. This field is only set by a merge operation. If you have this field in the import file, I could imagine this would cause an error, as it can't be updated directly, though I would have hoped to have seen a more useful error message. If you have this field in your input file, try removing it to see if this fixes it.

If you need to include information about merged records as part of your upload, then I don't think you can do it directly via a file upload. I think the best you could do is to create a new custom relationship to the master record and set that in the import, then use a tool like kingswaysoft to apply the merge
