For Pros and Cons, I wanted to understand what benefits there are of using/not using the feature.
Setting-->Email Configuration-->Email configuration Settings-->set email for options-->Allow messages with unresolved email recipients to be sent (Yes/No).
Can someone help?

Hi @Cindy0908, as @rampprakash said, turning it on will allow your users to send emails externally to emails where these contacts/people are not in the system. The caveat with this is it can be dangerous to share unwanted information externally without going through a process to "know" your contacts. Hope this clarifies
Hello @Cindy0908,
It is Used for sending email to address which are not a record in the system.
For (Eg)
As per the system if you want send email to test@live.com you want to create a record like contact, lead etc to set this Item in TO/CC to send an email
if you enable the option which you have mentioned, without the record available in system we can trigger an email to test@live.com
Please mark as Answer if it is helpful and provide Kudos
