Hi,
In Microsoft List, I can make a person-type column that allows me to search & pick a person from the 365 active directory.
How do I accomplish same in a custom column in a custom table in Dataverse, please?
Thanks for your help!
EDIT: I have setup a trial dataverse environment to try out some features. I am able to add Users to this manually. I would like to add a handful of Users. They do not have trial or premium licenses. Will they get assigned trial licenses, perhaps? Any issues adding Users this way for my purpose? Thanks

Yes i think assigning trial licenses would work for this purpose and they will get added to DataVerse as users so far I can't see a drawback for this approach.
Hello @fess,
Yes, but please make sure user will have COMMON DATA SERVICE license assigned
if you don't want to add license but if you want to see the Respective User in Dataverse you can follow my video here for step by step Guidence.

Thanks I've added Users manually for now & used the Lookup field as advised which works fine for now.
There is an OTB (out of the box) table called Users, you can create a Custom Column of Type Lookup that refers to the users table but please note that this table includes only Powerapps Licensed or Dynamics 365 Licensed users.
So it depends on your requirement and if all the Active Directory users have powerapps license.
Hello @fess,
As per OOB behaviour who is having proper license they will be available in Dataverse User Table.
If you want to use only the users available in Dataverse then create a lookup field where you are expecting.
If you need office directory users then Create a custom table in DataVerse environment then write Microsoft flow to FETCH data from OFFICE 365 and PUSH it to DATAVERSE by adding ADD ROW.
Then create a look with this custom table to access the same
Let me know if you need more clarity.

Thanks for response. I am building a prototype so not many Users have licenses so I have to pull 365 users.
Could you let me know the action specifically in Power Automate? I selected Office 365 connector but I don't see a way to "FETCH" all users as suggested.
Could you please advise the steps?
Thanks

i haven't marked it as solution because like i said in my final post, the appropriate solution is to simply add users to the environment & then perform lookup as advised.
