Facebook Custom Connector

This blog walks you through step-by-step on how to build your own Facebook custom connector. You will need a minimum of Flow or PowerApps plan 1. The existing Facebook connector works only for those who created the connection prior to when Facebook made changes on their side. New connections do not work and this is the only workaround currently available.

1. Download the Swagger file from
2. Create a Facebook page
3. Create a Facebook for Developers Account
4. Go to
5. Create a new app by clicking on My Apps
6. Give a display name
7. Create a New App ID
8. Settings>Basic
9. Get the App ID
10. App Secret
11. Click on Products
12. Select Facebook Login Setup
13. Go to PowerApps and create a custom connector
14. Click on New Custom Connector
15. apiDefinition.Swagger.json
16. Copy the Redirect URL


18. Paste that URL in the Facebook settings



Building the flow






Currently you can only post to a Facebook page, the option to post on your personal timeline is no longer available. Also, the process is much simpler doing it via Flow. You do have the option to create a PowerApp and connect the same Flow to it.
