Do you like the Network Days function in Excel? And do you need to create reminders to do a task but do not want to include weekend days - here is a trick to exclude them. You can re-create it with SharePoint Online and Flow.

Flow Connectors: SharePoint, O365 Outlook

What is the Network Days function?
The NETWORKDAYS function is a built-in function in Excel that is categorized as a Date/Time Function to not include weekends when calculating 2 given dates.

Use Case: When a SharePoint item gets created, I needed to add 3 days from the create date not including the weekends and email a reminder. The person field can be any type like assigned to, but in this case it is a writer that has to take action by the 3rd day after an item is added. This type of reminder system and exclusion of network days can work in many scenarios and here is one of them that worked for me.

The potential of SharePoint is abundant and now with Flow you can do even more. However, with more power comes more responsibility and this is where Cognitive Service's can help. As someone who simply cannot win a raffle price I decided to remove 'Luck' out of the equation and instead leverage Flow, Cognitive Service Text Analytics and Power BI to make price winning a little more interesting and fare. One would even say I added a new meaning to the phrase 'Luck favors the prepared'.

Recently, I’ve been intrigued by Microsoft Cognitive Vision services. This Machine-Learning functionality can extract rich information from images to categorize and process visual data – and machine-assisted moderation of images to help curate your services. Now, as some of you may already know, I’m a huge LEGO fan and I come from a family whose been playing with LEGOs for three generations. One of the struggles each LEGO fan faces is identifying a part number. I took on this struggle as a challenge and have come up with a Proof Of Concept using Microsoft PowerApps and Flow’s integration with Microsoft Cognitive Vision Services’ API. I introduce to you my LEGO Inventory App.

Anyone who has used SharePoint Designer to build 2010 or 2013 workflows is familiar with the 'Set Field in Current Item' action. You might also know that this action is currently not available in Flow. Update item is the only action close enough to achieve the task, however, for every Update Item step in Flow a version is created for that list item. Hence if you do need a 'Set Field in Current Item' action, especially while migrating your SharePoint Designer workflows to Flow then you can consider using the Set Variable action instead. This blog walks you how you can use this action using a demo.

This blog walks you through how you can use the two attached templates to build your own mobile PowerApp as a central place to post comments to Facebook, Slack, Twitter and Yammer. The three attachments includes a MSAPP file for the PowerApp, zipped file for Flow and STP file for SharePoint. The 'SocialMedia.ZIP' file contains the MSAPP and STP files. Hence you will have to unzip that file. Leave the 'Socialmedia_20171213182703.zip' as it is and import it in Flow. The steps described in this article must be followed in the precise order to get the final app as desired.
