SharePoint Lists in Power App

I have a simple SharePoint List which I can view/update via a Power App I created (Android). I can sort the list in SharePoint in to alphabetical order but cant figure out how to do the same in the app. The only view I get is the list in the order that it was created. Anyone any clue where I might be going wrong please. The filter option (top right of the Power App) has no effect.

If you want to have some actual example, create a PowerApp from a SharePoint list using the button from the action ribbon of the list. On the browse screen the sorting is done exactly as described in the article.
