Hi
I have a question about licensing within PowerApps.
I´m creating a Canvas application that connects to an Azure Database.
My company has Office 365 license, but I will be upgraded to premium.
The users of my application will they have to upgrade as well?
And if they do is it the 10$ plan per month or 40$ plan per month?
These new licensing plans are really confusing IMO
Thanks in advance

If your Power App uses Azure SQL as a back end data source then yes, all your users will also need a premium license. If this is the only premium license app they will be using then you can just buy enough Per App licenses to cover the users. If they will be using other premium apps then you should think about getting Per User licenses. Each Per App licenses covers one user for up to two related Apps. Each Per User license covers one user for as many Apps as they wish to run. So since at retail the per User license is 4 times the cost of the Per App license that means that once you get to 4 premium applications its cheaper to buy per User licenses.

Thanks for the response, I had the exact same query. Having not looked at Power Apps in a good few months the move of SQL to premium has resulted in a massive increase in price, disappointing!
Could portals provide an alternative cheaper option?
I don't think Portals would help you any. It's pricing is based on hits/day against the portal page. It can add up pretty fast too.
