Creating an environment - Not enough Stoage? Help!

Hi, we have a tenant that we haven't even used yet (currently in preperation for migration of on prem content).

To follow best practise we are trying to set up a production and test enviroment for our Power Apps, which I understood required 1GB of free space.

However, it won't let us create one and gives the reason that we do not have enough storage?  But we haven't got anything on the tenant so far so how can it not have enough storage?

We have called the company that supplies our licenses incase this was some kind of licensing issue, but they have no idea either?

What are we missing?

@JulieBird : Did you check the current storage available at the admin center https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/resources/capacity?

This capacity page should show the available storage, example below.

I can't check it on our live tenant as I don;t have rights, but I can emulate the exact same sceanrio on my dev tenant (the free one you get with MS).... on this one I have 100% capacity using the link you sent me.  On my developer tenant I still can't create an environment and it comes up with the same message suggesting I don;t have enough storage (which clearly I do).

I was able to create a developer environment, just not a production or any other kind.

I was doing some reading and a post suggests that a user needs a P2 license to create an environment? Does this ring any bells with anyone?

• The following environments don't count against capacity which is the reason you are able to create it in your dev tenant. 
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Trial
  • Preview
  • Support
  • Developer

On the developer plan page, you could read https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/developerplan/

The Power Apps Developer Plan is restricted to building and testing apps to validate prior to production. To distribute apps for production purposes, choose a plan from the Power Apps pricing page.

Thanks, I only use my developer tenant for learning, so not really needing to create environments on there, I only used it to try and troubleshoot to guide our tenant admin on what he needs to do to create them on our real tenant.

On our live tenant I have an E5 but even my tenant admin can't create an environemnt and gets the space issue error message, so I am assuming this is a really bad error message because what it actually means is that you need a specific type of license to create an environment!

Having telephoned our licensing supplier, they didn't even know!  Hence me putting the word out on forums.

The only clue so far is that someone mentioned a P2 license, will do some more digging on that, it really shouldn't be this hard lol

@JulieBird As per MS docs you need a license to create a sandbox or production environments.

if you need to create a Dataverse instance within production or sandbox environments (other than the default environment), you're still required to have a premium Power Apps or Power Automate license.
