Export package feature does not copy certain formulas and screens

Hello Team,

I had an app which I exported in zip format, selecting "Import setup" as "Create as new".

I renamed an app so that exported app and existing app do not have same name. When I imported, I observed that a screen along with certain formulas were missing if compared to my original app.

Let me know if my export steps were wrong. Else, this is a concern in terms of managing as well sharing apps using export feature. I guess this is the only way of keeping a version control and a backup of your working app and seems like it does not work at the full.

Please see if this needs an urgent fix ! I think it does

Re: Export package feature does not copy certain formulas and screens

Hi @ashay-maheshwar

Which data source do you use within your app?

I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned.

More details about importing and exporting your apps across environment, please check the following blog:

https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/powerapps-packaging/

Please take a try to clear cache of your browser, then try it again, check if the issue is solved.

In addition, there are also some limitations when importing or exporting apps across environment with packaging, please check the follownig (at the bottom of the page):

Best regards,

Re: Export package feature does not copy certain formulas and screens

@v-xida-msft, Thanks for your response.

I am using Sharepoint list as my data source.

As of now, there is no luck in that export. But I can see other exports working as expected.
