Powerapps (or else) : How to administer and to uninstall a On-Premise Getaway ?

Hello everyone !

I have an On-premise SharePoint environment.

I have read everything about how to set the Getaway, and I've installed one on my server.

I have several questions :

  1.  I've download the OnPremise Getaway wizard (here :
    1. What should be the account asked when setting the getaway ?
    2. Because it did not ask me to authenticate, only to give an email address.
    3. After installing the getaway, I can go to the settings, and to launch it, I have to sign in wwith email AND password. Does it have to be the same ?
    4. What licence plan does it have to have ?
    5. I've set it up, it is running apparently.(I looked at the log to be sure)
  2. After installing and signing in my getaway, I go to powerapps and want to create a new application. When I want to create a new data connexion with my onPremise Getaway, I can't have it nowhere in the getaway list!
    1. What should i do ?
    2. What could be the problem ?
    3. My getaway is running ! Is it because it is installed on a local server ?
  3. HOW DO WE UNINSTALL A on-Premise Getaway ?
I mean, it is installed on my local server. I saw lots of people telling to juste erase the connexion between PowerApps and the Getaway, but i would like to delete THIS ONE (to maybe re-install another one later). How do you do that? I coulndn't find the answer anywhere.

Thanks, I hope you'll be able to help me understanding these strange animals !

Have a nice day !

Hi @Gaëlle,

Please review the following page for the details about how the gateway works:

On-premise data gateway in-depth

For Licenses that could use the gateway,

On-premises connectivity is not available for Office 365 Business, Office 365 Enterprise E1 or Office 365 F1 SKUs.

The gateway would need the Office 365 Email account to "Connect" PowerApps service with the local server, so you need to sign in with the Email account which used to sign in with PowerApps.

For how to uninstall On-premise data gateway, please navigate to:

Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features

Find the On-Premise data gateway and then uninstall it.

Hello @v-micsh-msft !

Thanks a lot for explaining me which email should be creating the gateway.

For the uninstallation, I can't find it under Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Feature, that is why I asked how i can uninstall it. I don't know where to find the uninstallation helper...

Do you have any idea ?

Thanks a lot !
