This app isn't opening correctly - iOS/Android Application / External guest account

I shared a Canvas apps with an external user. They can access the app using a Desktop or mobile web browser, no issues.


When they open the PowerApps app on either Android or iOS, they do not see the application. When they click on a hyperlink to the app, the app opens and displays an error message 'This app isn't opening correctly'




I've tested this on iOS (14.6), iPadOS (14.5.1) and Android (10).

I've tried turning off wifi/data as suggested in this post - app isn't opening correctly 
I've tried recompiling/publishing the app, no success.
I think we can rule out:
- Device issue (it's happening across 3 devices and 2 operating systems)
- Network (tried wifi and data)
- the canvas app itself / permissions (the app is working fine in the browser)
Is this a limitation of the PowerApps app with guest accounts? Anyone have an idea what this could be?
