Unable to rename PowerApps Environment with existing Common Data Service database

I know I can rename a powerapps/flow environment WITHOUT a database easily under the "details" tab.

According to Microsofts documentation "If you have created the database in the environment, then you will not see this option. You can rename the environment from Dynamics 365 Admin center by clicking on the link in Details tab."

However I cannot seem to find anyway to rename my default environment which has a Common Data Service database. It is called "CompanyName (default) (org10fg6e13)".

I have looked throughout the Dynamics 365 Admin center (old and new) and I cannot find anywhere to do this. I have a Powerapps P2 license and I am a System Administrator of the environment.

The closest I have came is this window (where the options are greyed out). P.S. I know this is a test trial environment.

Re: Unable to rename PowerApps Environment with existing Common Data Service database

Hi @pwilliamson ,

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

Do you want to rename your Default PowerApps Environment which has a Common Data Service?

The user @sarveshshinde15 has faced same issue with you, please check my response within the following thread:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Discussion/How-to-change-default-environment-name/m-p/26...

Actually, the Default Environment name is generated automatically by PowerApps service when you sign up for PowerApps. Currently, within PowerApps, I afraid that there is no way to rename the Default Environment name.

If you would like this feature to be added within PowerApps, please submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:
