We don't manage to allocate a user to a app per user plan

Dear Community,

We are building our first app and it seems ready to share.

As it uses CDS, we have purchased an 'app per user plan'. We have allocated the capacity add-on to the correct environment.

But then it seems we dont manage to allocate the app to a user. this prevents the user to use the app.

Can anyone point us in the right direction?

Kind regards,

Michel

That's actually a different issue.  The per app license will be assigned to the user when you share it.  But entities in CDS also have security.  The error you are getting is about security on the entity, not licensing.

You'll need one per app license per user, but you don't assign them to the user directly.  Those licenses are assigned to the user when you share the app with the user.  You can see the steps to follow here:

The user gets an error notification indicating that he does not have sufficient authorisation to read Entities in the CDS.

Are the licenses assigned automatically? Or do I have to take action to assign it.
