Greetings, community! I need to assign some app passes to a managed solution canvas app and want to be sure I do this correctly. I know how to do this with unmanaged solutions, but I see in this forum post that doing this adds an unmanaged layer. Is there an "official" way to manage app passes with managed solutions?

There shouldn't be any difference in the way you apply app passes. App passes are assigned to an environment and then there is a setting on the app to consume the app passes when the app is shared.
For the unmanaged layer, are you talking about updating the Per-app licenses switch on the App settings for the app in a managed solution (see screenshot below)? I've tested this out before and it doesn't create an unmanaged layer.
