Ability to search across multiple fields with Quick Find view OR have Advanced Find available in lookups

Author Name: ALICIA LINHARDT

Scenario: I've customized the Product entity so that Products have three new fields - Length, Height, and Width. On the Opportunity, I select the Standard Price List, save the Opportunity, and add a new Opportunity Product. In the Opportunity Product form, I select the Existing Product lookup; when I try to search for the Length, Height, and Width, it returns no results even though all of those fields are in the Find Columns in the Quick Find view.

EVEN BETTER, it would be lovely to have Advanced Find available in lookups so that I could search for Length, Height, and Width *ranges*.

By the way, I know I could concatenate the Length, Height, and Width into one field (Dimensions) and search on that field. But what it I want certain Dimensions and a certain Manufacturer? I can't concatenate *everything* into one field...

Presumably you have added price list items for the products as well? The Existing Product lookup from Opp (/Quote/Order/Invoice) Product lines is filtered to only return products which have price lists items for the current price list.

Posted a non-end-user-friendly workaround.

Many thanks Anusha! Will this be moved to the 'Tracking' status reason soon? *hopes* 🙂
