One of the problems with Microsoft's alternative development tools has been lack of commercialization options. If you want this to me more than a toy business people to create internal apps.
This limitation is by design. However, options for building and selling solutions using the Business Application Platform and/or PowerApps is definitely something you could consider within the framework of the "AppSource" marketplace.

Similar to Access Web Apps, have the ability to sell apps in relevant app stores - or possibly have a 'Power Apps Solution Store' where apps for all platforms could be sold.
Apps will need to be able to be packaged (again like an AWA) and 'locked' so customers can't break them. The package must be able to auto provision the associated database, front end(s), flows etc from a single 'file' which can be distributed and which will auto-provision.
Also required is a means of updating customer's apps in a simple way via the store.
All this is already possible with Access Web Apps and should be 'borrowed'.
PowerApps enables business users create apps and we are always looking at ways to improve the product. The ability to create/publish apps to stores sounds interesting. For such apps, are there reasons you would not/would use platforms like Xamarin?
Migrated_USer The reason for not using Xamarin is simple, not all of us are developers/good enough to create apps from scratch like with VStudio or Xamarin specially when it comes to Data and Storage, setting up a database or shared data source , but we can create good useful apps with PowerApps, Siena, Windows App Studio, Touch Develop.
The ability of Widnows App Studio to create intallable apps and even be able to edit on Vistual Studio is great, shame it doesnt have the power of PowerApps.
I quite agree. Allowing platforms like PowerApps to create products of value that could be sold in market would significantly encourage interest in these platforms.

I would love to be able to create a business solution in Power Apps (and I am a .Net programmer) and be able to spin it up into the Microsoft Store for either licensing, purchase, or even free (like free to play games). About a decade ago I worked on a huge project in ASP for a Fortune 500 company and I would love to take that idea and turn it into a Power App application.
