Allow text input in the dropdown control offered under PowerApps Insert tab

Hello All,

Could you allow text input in the dropdown control offered under PowerApps Insert tab, so we can do serch in the dropdown, in the same way that the DataCardValue Dropdowns does.

As you see in the picture, I'm able to type in the dropdown in the left and it will filter the results.
In the right side you can see that I'm not allow to type with the dropdown offered by the PowerApps Insert tab, therefor there is no way to filter the results and this can be tedious for the user when they have to scroll down in a large list.

PD: If you are wondering why I'm not using the other dropdown then, this is the thread with the problem I'm facing:

Thank you

Hi @Lucas - sorry for the delay in getting back to you, can you confirm if you're still experiencing this? You should not be able to search values on both the drop down and the combobox. Is there a particular scenario where you can't?

Seems to me like you're trying to achieve the same thing as an autocomplete control. Here's a link to an existing suggestion:

Hi @CWesener

you said "you should NOT be able to search", I was expecting the oposite, let the user search for a specific item instead of going through the whole list.

So what I did was to use the datacard dropdown to allow the search, altough this was a year ago, back then I had the problem that I was not able to use the dropdown from the datacard with the proper name, so as you see in my picture one dropdown says "00001" while the other one says the proper name "1215-marine..". So with one card I had the ability to search, but with the other one I was able to select the proper name to display it.

I did a quick check with an old database and like you said I'm not able to do a search in the standard insert dropdown from the tools, which is still anoying for end user when the list is long.

Thank you for your reply.

Hello Lucas,

how did you combined your TextInput with a DataCardValue? Or are those even separate Boxes? I want to implement this feature, too.
