Attach a file to form

I'd like to be able to use a control like the Add Picture button, but for Files of any type.

The control would open up a file picker, I could select the file and then I can upload the same as content from Add Picture.

For example, my current need is to attach a document (doc, ppt, pdf, etc) to an Annotation to a Case in Dynamics 365.

This will be released this week officially, the rollout to different regions might take a couple of days.

Note that in the initial release, we will support SharePoint Lists only, the support for other data sources will be rolloed out over the coming weeks.

I will blog about the new functionality and limitations and post the link to the blog post here.

Thanks for the update. Really appreciate it.
I know these things are not always easy to achieve.

Hi Fillip,

Really appreciate the hard work on this. It is however unfortunate you can only support 10 MB sized attachment at this point in time. We are really looking for a solution that can support up to 50 MB. Do you have any indication if that eventually will be supported and what timelines we can expect?

kind regards,

Mark

Same here. I was really please to see the announcement and the limitation on the size is a shame. I have photos on my phone larger that and even if it could have sneaked to 20 mb.

Anyway sometimes these thing are out of your control. Just glad this has made progress and I look forward to the increase on the limit and further great stuff.

Waiting (im)patiently for the update to arrive. This is just in time for me to implement before the App potentially goes live. Will uploading from the Picture control be looked at for the same kind of functionality?

We realize that the 10MB limit is low and are treating it as a highest priority to unblock this scenario.

Our goal is to support files up to 100MB in size.  We may not get there in the first itteration of the fix.  Hoping to have something in 3-4 weeks.
