Autocomplete control

I am really missing the autocomplete control. A cohntrol where the user can start entering data and it will then make suggestions based on a datasource, the user should not be forced to use any of the suggestions.

We have the drop down control and we have the textbox control. But the Autocomplete control can make it really easy for mobile users to enter data.

I really hope you will add this Smiley Very Happy

We are recommending the combo control for this scenario. Please review documentation on the combo control here:

Does anyone know when the 'autocomplete'feature will be added to power apps?

This seems like an extremely useful feature/control to have.

Curiously, when I google "powerapps autocomplete" one of the search results explain how it can be done with Access Web Apps:

... and at the same time it recommends that you take a look at PowerApps, because Access Apps are being phased out.

I get what Microsoft is trying to do and I understand that not everything can be prioritized... but please... bump this your list.

I'd like to back this idea up Smiley Happy

I had a really good use for this for a drop down with more than 300 items, and I had to use a combination of text box and drop down. Is not the worse solution, but it looks odd and kind of hacky... having an autocomplete control would be so much easier for loads of scenarios.

Any update on auto-populate or a workaround?

I would love to know if this is something plannd or implemented. Specifically to allow for a people search connected to Office365

I was trying to build this without knowing that what I needed was the missing auto-complete feature. Here's a snippet of my app, perhaps someone can figure out how to engineer it to both search for a value and return the selected value:

The text box at the top is the value saved to the record, and is also used to filter the List Box(es). The real goal would be to be able to select one of the items in the now filtered list box and have that value populate to the text box....problem is that all I can come up with is a circular reference. Perhaps there is a work-around to an autocomplete by having a "third storage locaiton" where the final value to send for update is held?  Or maybe a function in the OnSelect action?  As it stands, the display of possible values is handy for me in deveopling the app, since I'm not familiar with what the choices should be.

Thanks, Pat

Hello has anyone been able to find a way to autocomplete in powerapps?

It seems MS has gone dark on this subject.  Too bad enterprise accounts seemingly are not heard or get response to this type of thread.
