BUG: Read-only URL fields do not redirect

Author Name: Linda Dienberg

I submitted this as a support case and was told that this issue would not be addressed until the next major version release of CRM (that is would not be resolved by an update roll up to 2011).

This is more than disappointing. This has been available from v1.0 and seems like it should be working in 2011. We are moving backwards if that is not so.

Thanks!

Linda.

That's important for us, too. Until CRM 4.0 it was possible to set an attribute as "disabled" or "readonly". In CRM 2011 "readonly" is implemented as "disabled". Now if a user is not allowed to modify a field in some situations (e.q. NAV accountnumber if it is filled) I set it to readonly. But now he is not able to use an implemented hyperlink (e.q. open the account in Dynamics NAV).

Thank you for your suggestion. We understand the limitation that this change has introduced and we are considering this functionality for the next major release of CRM. Anusha Shankar This posting is provided "as is" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
