CRM- Search engine function across records. (global search)

Author Name: Stuart Barrett

Hi

It is always being asked for - is it possible to add search functionality such that one can quickly search the information within the body of tracked emails and any attachments and also across notes and other historical items.

Thanks

Yes such a global search will be a welcome feature. This should also search in campaigns and resolved cases of similar type. Giviving example of each. Suppose a user is at the help desk and a quary comes is do you have any promos happening for Students, this search should give every thing that is there for Students. Other example is if the user receives a case and wants to check if similar case has been resolved in history. Hope I am able to clear the requirement.

I have added this to my watch list. I hope to see it soon.

We constantly see sales reps entering data in Opportunity Notes and not understanding why the Opp record modified date doesn't update - it's entirely intuitve for them to assume it would and this functionality would solve the problem.
