Looking for the ability to copy and paste data from an excel table with multiple rows directly into PowerApps.
How would the app look that would accept the table of data? Is it a form? Or a data table / grid?
Hi @FilipK - thanks for the response!
I envision this capability being in two poential forms:
1. Data Table - where the table can be blank and data could be copied and pasted from excel and then Patched/Saved through the app
2. Gallery capability - where you can copy data and have each line from an excel table copy into the invividual rows of the gallery.
@tlevine How can I do this? I'm very interested in something just like this

Hi @CP0822 I don't have a solution for this but it would truly be a game changer for some of the apps I am looking to build! Hopefully @FilipK can help us with a solution 🙂
I´m pasting the data from Excel in the input text and then I tried to split the text and then saving this info in a collection but without success at the moment.
@CP0822 @tlevine - I have seen that solution before but for me it is not clean and user friendly. the recommendation here of simply using a data table with copy and past function would make this significantly easier. thx
@rfonsec Sounds useful to me, where can I find this information you mentioned?
@CP0822This functionability is not available yet. It is suggested on this forum right here to the Microsoft PowerApp Developers. If enough users vote for it, it may get the attention of the Microsoft crew.
So if you don't mind, please consider to sign up and hit the 'Thumbs up' button at the top of the page. 🙂
Actually, I found a way to do it using split and for all function pasting the information in a Textinput and creating a collection.
I can share with you this code if you need it.
Are there any news whether the above functionality is on the road-map?We are quite a bit of people, where this functionality would make PowerApps much much stronger to us, as we have to revert to excel every time at the moment.
