Create a Marketing List, add a few Contacts into the list and then make a few of those Contacts inactive. If you try to create a Quick Campaign for the list, activities are created just for the active Contacts from the list – everything is fine. However, if you try to use Mail Merge option on List Members (via Microsoft Word template), eg for generating letters, the inactive Contacts are sent to Microsoft Word in the data source the same way as active records. Therefore, resulting letters are created also for inactive Contacts. Moreover, the inactive Contacts are not shown in the Associated View of the Marketing List, so the user could be confused. We think that inactive Contacts shouldn’t be included into the data for Mail Merge. Or, at least, the behavior should be consistent for both Mail Marge and Quick Campaigns.
