Hi Microsoft,
It's me again. It has officially been one year since Matt Barbour gave us a demo of the new developer toolkit at eXtreme CRM in Las Vegas. Tomorrow will mark 3 months since you've responded to this thread. How much longer do we need to wait? I would think that you've had plenty of time to release the updated toolkit let alone a patch for the existing one!
Hi Microsoft, let me add my vote to this too. As I bring up new developers in the CRM 2015 environment in state government, it would help if we could de-complicate this rather than complicate it by letting tools atrophy and make them spend time with workarounds.
I have to concur with all the previous comments, why has it taken so long? I can't believe I have to sacrifice 3 or more years of advances in the Visual Studio tooling because I'm developing for Dynamics CRM...one of the flagship products! Please get a grip on this and give us the tooling we deserve!
Hi Microsoft,
Your silence is creating a lot of confusion to us. Are you still going to release a newer version of CRM Developer Toolkit which will work with the latest version of VS and CRM? And (roughtly) when? We need an answer. Even you say no, we can either spend some time to build one ourselves or buy a tool like CRM solution manager. But now you leave us hanging and wondering if it is worth to spend/waste time or money on it.
So Microsoft,
CRM 2016 is released, do you have any release date for the future version of the Developer Toolkit? Becasue correct me if I'm wrong, but it's not part of the new 2016 SDK as well?
@Midnightoil, I'm using on-permise not online so maybe thats the case. The error that I'm getting is:
"{"The maximum nametable character count quota (16384) has been exceeded while reading XML data. The nametable is a data structure used to store strings encountered during XML processing - long XML documents with non-repeating element names, attribute names and attribute values may trigger this quota. This quota may be increased by changing the MaxNameTableCharCount property on the XmlDictionaryReaderQuotas object used when creating the XML reader. Line 1, position 1321."}"
It's appearing everytime after selecting organization. It still works with CRM 2015.
@Jerzy Dockocz, can you elaborate more on what problems are you experiencing making the dev toolkit to work with CRM 2016? I can still uploade web resources to a CRM 2016 online instance via the dev toolkit.
Thanks for your feedback, you can download the CRM 2015 SDK now from here : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=44567
Sincerely,
Srikumar Nair,
