Embed Stream videos in PowerApps

Allow the ability to embed a stream video into a powerapp.

We can embed youtube videos but not videos using Microsofts own services.

It should not be an authorization issue since the users already have to be authenticated to use PowerApps.

It would be nice to see Microsoft have integration with its own services.

Status: Started

Stream Video control for canvas apps should be in production before Christmas.

Found this on the April '19 potential release notes, so there's hope in sight.

"By allowing users to reliably scan barcodes, QR codes, and data matrix codes with their mobile devices, as well as to show locations and routes on a map, a whole range of new field apps can be targeted. A new rich-text editor allows a more seamless transition of existing corporate apps into PowerApps, while support for Stream videos supports workflow productivity within the Microsoft ecosystem."

Adding my vote to the mix, looking to use powerapps as a workflow engine for activity in operations.  Being able to link to Stream videos explaining how to execute the task is a must.

Waiting patiently for this upgrade 🙂

Still hard to believe that using two Office 365 products together, in the way they were intended to be used (ways that work with other platforms), is considered an "upgrade".

Please increase the priority of this capability.  My PowerApp takes forever to download due to the numerous video files that are being downloaded.  I would use YouTube but our company would not support that.

There needs to be a priority on this. I don't need to tell anyone here the looks I get when I tell employees that I cannot embed Stream videos into the Powerapps despite them both being Microsoft products.

You should be able to embed Stream videos as well as setup a playlist that will rotate through different stream videos.

Honestly, this is embarassing and I cannot believe that this had to be a feature that was requested.

Please keep working on this. It would make PowerApps much more effective and secure as confidentiality limits the use of Youtube in organizational apps.

Anxiously waiting!

Hi, our customers are waiting for this feature, we are working with them creating "Digital Books" for training, and need this functionality to stop using youtube

I'll add my cry from the wilderness, how can this type of integration take so long to implement?

@CWesener  You mentioned back in december(12-02-2018 08:28 AM):"givent the recent surge in interest we are having conversations to see if this could be reassessed and brought forward. I'll provide an update on this item once I have more information."

Can you provide an  update, please?
