Improved DatePicker Customization

I'm working on building some PowerApps for my team, and love what I've been able to do so far. But it seems the DatePickers have incredibly limited customization options. (I may also just not have realized how to edit it yet)

They currently look too large and clunky in my app and I'd like to be able to edit the color, size, and even hide/remove the calendar icon. That one part of my form looks so out of place compared to the rest of it.

I'm specifically talking about the calendar icon and box to the right of the DatePicker. I currently just have a square covering it up to hide it from my users. Man Surprised

The OK button seems like an unnecessary step, and it's easy to skip over it and think that the form isn't saving the chosen date. Also, the calendar is way too big. Glad to see this is planned, because we would like to change it up on all of our forms.

So this has been planned since March 2017 - any chance of some progress on getting this implemented?

Agreed, remove the OK button and also add more customisation options.
Would it be possible to change the colour of the hint text (as a customisable option)? I want to make it a lighter grey so it can't be confused with a selected value.

I agree that the OK button is an unecessary step. Also there is no way to clear a date from a date field, once a date has been selected

I agree too the OK button is unecessary, and we need a solution to resize the datepicker calendar

Can you make DatePicker smaller, or give us options of few sizes (small, medium)?

Yes, remove OK button!!

Please remove OK & Cancel button.  User should be able to select the date with mouse click and then date picker calendar view should go away.  Depending on where the DatePicker is located on the form, the User may forget to click 'Ok' because the Ok button is not viewable.  see attached.DatePicker.png

Completely agree, the OK button is not needed...!

OK button should be removed in my opinion, and yes, my date pickers render hilariously large. I can see how this might get cut off in some folks' apps if they aren't careful about their date picker placement.
