Launch URL from within PowerApps form - IN THE SAME TAB

Please enable the functionality to launch a URL from a PowerApps form, and open the URL in the same tab!

Currently when using PowerApps forms the user can see the underlying SharePoint list upon closing the form. If that is not wanted, a workaround is to direct the user to another site by adding the syntax launch("www.otherURL.com") into the submit button on the form - however this opens the launched site in a NEW TAB rather than the same tab. Therefore, the original tab showing the SharePoint list associated with the PowerApps form is still open in the user’s browser.

MS Forms may be an alternative for this in some cases, but it does not support attachments, and many of our forms do require attachments to be included.

Has this issue been solved yet? Are there any alternate solutions?

This linked help me in the PowerApps application but it still isn't working in SharePoint. The page you linked suggested that the command might act unexpectedly when using SharePoint and I assume this is what is going on. Did your PowerApp tab route from a SharePoint Page to another SharePoint page? I also did update the link in the SharePoint Widget and Edited this version of the App to be the "Live/Published" Version in PowerApps. So those are not the issues. Any suggestions?
