Load JSON in PowerApps to a PowerApps object

I have been able to use JSON() to reduce a collection of records into a JSON string.

What I should like to see is an inverse function that could parse a JSON string into a PowerApps variable or collection.  Building custom parsers from regular expressions and MatchAll() is clumsy and prone to error.  An apparently trivial change in the "schema" of the collection can break a parser that relies on a sequence of fields.
