Current situation
In MS Outlook or other Mail-Clients it is possible to paste images from the clipboard directly into outgoing e-mails (html format). The recipients directly see the images in the text flow at the right place and without additional activities regarding opening attachments.
MS Dynamics CRM does not support pasting images in outgoing e-mails.
Expected situation
MS Dynamics CRM should provide the functionality to paste images to outgoing e-mails that is available in many applications. This would increase efficiency and productivity of the users working with the system, and present the content of e-mail to the recipients in the optimal way.
For the sender it is much easier and faster to attach the image to the e-mail by pasting it with one shortcut instead of upload with multiple clicks and folder/file selection steps, and the error probability to forget attaching a file or select the wrong one is decreased. Therefore the complexity of usage of the system and the usability at all is much higher for the agents.
Additional advantages are on the recipients (customer) side of the e-mails, because the images are directly visible at the right place in the text flow (instead of an unstructured list of attachments) and they do not need to open each attachment individually โ opening without relation to the right context. Images in the text flow are expected by customers, make it easier to read and understand the content, and finally increase the customer satisfaction.
From a productivity perspective on the senders side a lot of effort of agents can be saved:
Proposed Functionality:
Functionality to paste (CTRL+V or โPasteโ in right mouse button menu) an image from the clipboard (similar to formatted text) into the body of outgoing e-mails (or preferred in general into every field that is able to use formatting).
Thankyou for the suggestion. We will consider this in our roadmap.
Thanks,
