There are several system entities that are not available from CRM for tablets. many of these are very important entities, and I'm suggesting what I think should be the priority for tablet enabling them and why.
In my opinion, the priority should be:
campaign responses--lots of people use campaign responses, and not just in traditional marketing scenarios. Many deployments that have web forms where visitors can request information generate campaign responses and treat them as a light version of leads. without this the tablet app is a hard sell to an existing customer that uses campaign activities.
Campaigns should be there. I could see making them read only, but basic campaign history and what marketing lists a customer has been involved in is widely used functionality.
Goals. I don’t envision many tablet users creating goals, but many sales managers and sales reps will want to see dashboards reflecting goal information now that we have multiple dashboards
Quotes are extremely important to many sales processes. if your sales process depends on quotes, if sales users can't create/update/close quotes, you have to totally rethink your sales process before you can use CRM for tablets. If a sales rep uses CRM for tablets and has an opportunity with an open quote, he will not be able to close the opportunity until the quote is closed, but he can’t close the quote from the tablet.
Connections--they are there kind of there for a small number of entities, but are not available for custom entities or all system entities. This is one of the biggest sources of tablet deployment surprise for existing clients that use connections heavily as an integral part of their configuration. It means that to use CRM for tablets they will have to re-engineer their process.
Orders are very important to sales people, as the determine how much the sales rep will be paid. In many large deployments, ERP integrations bring in order history to the Order entity. If you use CRM for tablets for sales, not being able to see order history is a big deal and a reason that a rep will have to leave the tablet app.
Thanks for the feedback. Each release we are looking at the different entities and making them available in the new clients. As part of Dynamics CRM 2016 update 1 Quotes, Orders and Invoices were added. We will continue to evaluate other entities in future versions.
